What does Sankt George do?
Sankt George manufactures made-to-measure kitchen doors, drawer fronts and wardrobe doors together with accessories such as cover panels, plinths, filler panels, spacer strips and ceiling trims. We combine premium craftsmanship with complete colour freedom to help you create a truly personal result. Explore our models.
Do you work with IKEA systems?
Yes. We specialise in IKEA METOD, IKEA FAKTUM and IKEA PAX, supplying pre-drilled fronts that match IKEA's hinge and drawer drilling patterns.
Do you manufacture doors for other kitchen systems?
Yes. Every order is made to measure. Enter your dimensions online or send us your drawings using our quote form, and we'll take care of the rest.
Can I visit you or book a home consultation?
We don't operate a showroom or offer home consultations, as we sell exclusively online. Instead, you can order sample doors and explore our models from the comfort of your home.

Products & Models
Which parts do I order from Sankt George and which from IKEA?
We supply all visible components, including kitchen doors, drawer fronts, cover panels, filler panels, plinths, spacer strips and ceiling trims. IKEA supplies the cabinet frames, hinges, drawers and internal fittings. Explore our models.
What materials do you use?
We use premium MDF finished with polyurethane lacquer—one of the most durable furniture paints available. The result is an elegant matt finish (sheen level 10), available in any NCS colour. We also offer veneered fronts in Pale Oak and Smoked Oak.
How thick are your products?
All kitchen doors, drawer fronts, cover panels and filler panels are 18 mm thick.
Are the doors painted on all sides?
Yes. Every surface—including the front, back and edges—is carefully painted to ensure a flawless, even finish.
Do you offer glass cabinet doors?
Yes. Glass cabinet doors with clear glass are available for Pure, Studio, Pale Oak and Smoked Oak. Nordic and Frame can also be supplied as glass cabinet doors with a slightly wider frame (approximately 55 mm). Veneered glass cabinet doors are not available.
Do you make doors for integrated appliances?
Yes. We manufacture fronts for integrated dishwashers, refrigerators and freezers in standard sizes. Please make sure your appliance supports furniture door installation.
Do you make angled or custom-shaped doors?
We manufacture straight components in custom widths and heights. Angled cuts and irregular shapes are not available.
Do you manufacture solid wood doors?
No. We work with painted MDF and real wood veneer. Veneer provides a more consistent appearance than solid wood while offering greater dimensional stability in the kitchen environment, where solid timber may warp or crack over time. The result is a beautiful, long-lasting finish.
Colours & Design
Can I choose any colour I like?
Yes. You have complete freedom of colour choice. Select any shade from the entire NCS colour system at no extra cost. We also recommend ordering sample doors before making your final decision.
Can I order sample doors?
Yes. We offer sample doors (38 × 26 cm) in every model. Delivery normally takes 2–3 working days. Price: SEK 195 each, including shipping.
Which colours are the samples supplied in?
Standard samples are supplied in NCS S 2005-Y20R (Warm Greige) and NCS S 5005-G70Y (Muted Green), allowing you to evaluate both the finish and surface quality.
Can I choose a different sheen level than 10?
No. We exclusively use sheen level 10, providing a durable matt finish with the perfect balance of elegance and practicality.
Can I combine different colours and models in the same order?
Absolutely. You're free to combine any of our models and colours within the same order.
Can I order unfinished doors for painting myself?
No. All doors are supplied fully finished to ensure maximum durability and the highest possible paint quality.
How many coats of paint are applied?
Every door receives 2–3 coats of primer followed by 2–3 coats of polyurethane lacquer.
Can you help me choose a colour?

How do I request a quote?
Upload your IKEA plan directly on our website. We'll review every detail and provide a personalised quote showing how your kitchen or wardrobe can be transformed with our doors.
How quickly will I receive my quote?
Normally within 1–3 business days.
Can I order directly from your website?
Yes. You can order directly here. Every product is made to order in your chosen colour and exact dimensions for your kitchen or wardrobe.
Is there a minimum order value?
Yes. Our minimum order value is SEK 8,000 excluding shipping, which covers production setup costs.
Can I change my order or colour after placing it?
Usually yes, during the first few days before production and painting begin. Contact us as soon as possible if you need to make changes.
Will I receive an order confirmation by email?
Yes. An order confirmation is always sent automatically by email after your purchase.
Fit & Installation
Are your doors pre-drilled for IKEA?
Are your doors compatible with IKEA push-to-open fittings?
Yes. Our doors are fully compatible with IKEA push-to-open systems.
Do your doors fit older IKEA FAKTUM kitchens?
Yes. We use the original dimensions and drilling patterns for IKEA FAKTUM kitchens manufactured between 2000 and 2013. For older FAKTUM kitchens we manufacture every door to match your exact measurements. Learn more about FAKTUM.
Do your wardrobe doors fit IKEA PAX and other wardrobe systems?
Yes. We manufacture wardrobe doors to fit standard IKEA PAX dimensions. For all other wardrobe systems, simply enter your required measurements and we'll manufacture them to fit perfectly.
Do I need to replace hinges or drawers?
No. Our doors are fully compatible with IKEA hinges and drawer systems.
Do you offer an installation service?
No. We don't offer installation, but all of our doors and accessories are designed to fit the same mounting points as the original IKEA products, making installation straightforward. If preferred, you can also hire a local carpenter.
Can you help me check my measurements?
Yes. Simply send us your IKEA plan or photos of your kitchen, and we'll review everything digitally to help you verify your measurements before ordering.
Do I need to trim plinths or filler panels myself?
We manufacture plinths and filler panels to your specified dimensions. However, components fitted against walls or ceilings—such as ceiling trims and certain filler panels—are normally trimmed on site to achieve a perfect fit, as walls and ceilings are rarely completely straight.
Delivery & Shipping
How long is the lead time?
We're known for reliable lead times. Production typically takes around 5–6 weeks from order confirmation until your products are ready for dispatch. DHL will then contact you with the exact delivery date. Public holidays may add a few extra days.
How are my products delivered?
We work with DHL to provide safe and reliable deliveries throughout Europe. Once your order is ready, DHL will contact you directly to arrange the delivery date.
Does the delivery include carrying the products indoors?
Delivery is made to the kerbside or property boundary. As the shipment is heavy, we recommend carrying the individual items inside one at a time.
How are the products packaged?
Every order is packed in a custom-built shipping crate on a pallet, with protective packaging and reinforced corner protection to ensure safe transport.
Do you deliver to islands?
Yes, although delivery may take a few extra days. Feel free to contact us before placing your order.
What happens if DHL can't reach me?
DHL will normally contact you by phone or text message. If delivery cannot be completed and the shipment is returned to us, additional shipping charges will apply for re-delivery.
Terms & Conditions
Which payment methods do you accept?
For invoice payments, a 30% deposit is required when placing the order, with the remaining 70% due before dispatch. Card payments are charged in full at the time of purchase.
What warranty do you offer?
We provide a 2-year warranty against manufacturing defects. Normal wear and tear, incorrect installation and external damage are not covered.
What is your returns and cancellation policy?
As all products are custom-made to your measurements and colour choice, they are exempt from the standard right of withdrawal. If any issue should arise, we'll always work with you to find the best solution.
What should I do if my order arrives damaged?
Please ask the driver to note any visible damage upon delivery and take photographs of both the packaging and the products. Contact us within five days and we'll handle the claim together with DHL.
Do you have a force majeure policy?
We cannot be held responsible for delays or non-delivery caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, transport disruptions or major technical failures.
Quality, Durability & Care
Are your materials certified?
Our MDF complies with the E1 emission standard for low formaldehyde emissions, and our wood veneers are sourced from FSC-certified suppliers.
How long do your doors last?
Our doors are manufactured from premium MDF and finished with durable polyurethane lacquer. With normal care, they will retain their appearance and performance for many years.
Is MDF suitable for kitchens?
Yes. MDF is exceptionally stable, provides a perfectly smooth surface for painting and is widely regarded as one of the best materials for high-quality painted kitchen doors.
How resistant are your doors to moisture?
Our products are designed specifically for kitchen environments. Normal humidity is not a problem, although standing water and prolonged exposure to steam should always be avoided to preserve the finish over time.
How should I clean the doors?
Clean with a soft cloth and a mild soap solution. Avoid abrasive sponges and harsh cleaning products to keep the finish looking its best for years to come.
How durable is the paint finish?
Our polyurethane lacquer (sheen level 10) is highly durable and designed to withstand everyday use in busy kitchens.
Are your products environmentally friendly?
We focus on creating long-lasting products that allow you to upgrade your existing cabinets rather than replacing the entire kitchen, helping to reduce waste and make better use of resources.

How do your products differ from standard IKEA doors?
Unlike standard IKEA doors, every Sankt George product is made to measure. We apply multiple coats of polyurethane lacquer for a premium, durable finish, offer any NCS colour for our painted models, and provide far greater design flexibility—all tailored specifically to your kitchen.
How do your prices compare with buying a completely new kitchen?
Combining IKEA cabinet frames with doors from Sankt George gives you the look and quality of a bespoke kitchen at a significantly lower cost than replacing the entire kitchen.
Can I match my kitchen and wardrobe in the same colour?
Yes. Simply provide the same NCS colour code and we'll finish every component in exactly the same colour.
