Kitchen doors for IKEA Metod & IKEA Faktum

Refresh your IKEA kitchen with made-to-measure kitchen doors from Sankt George. We design and manufacture doors and drawer fronts for both IKEA Metod and IKEA Faktum. You can update the look without replacing the cabinets.

Why choose IKEA Metod as a base?

The foundation of any kitchen is always the cabinet. Thanks to their enormous production, IKEA has managed to create Metod cabinets that combine strength, flexibility and a reasonable price in a way that no other manufacturer can match. That’s why we chose Metod as the starting point when creating new kitchens.
But where the cabinet ends, we take over. Our doors are made to order in MDF and lacquered with polyurethane, the most durable and exclusive furniture paint on the market. You can choose from thousands of colours or our carefully selected wood veneers, and get a finish that is not only beautiful today but will stay just as nice for many years to come.
The combination of IKEA’s reliable cabinets and our made-to-measure doors gives you a kitchen with the best of both worlds: function and quality at the core, and a unique expression that reflects you and your home. A kitchen that doesn’t look like everyone else’s – but is built on the same solid foundation.

Metod vs Faktum – what’s the difference?

Unsure which system you have? Metod is recognised by its lower plinth, 8 cm compared to 16 cm for Faktum, as well as different cabinet and front dimensions. The inside of Metod drawers is usually white, while Faktum is often grey or silver. We manufacture made-to-measure doors for both systems.

Replacing kitchen doors – made to measure for all kitchen brands

Not an IKEA kitchen? No problem. We supply made-to-measure kitchen doors and drawer fronts regardless of manufacturer. Whether your kitchen is brand new from Ballingslöv or an older Marbodal that deserves a new life, we can give it a completely new expression. Read our guide to replacing kitchen doors.

Build a new kitchen on IKEA Metod or replace the doors on your existing Metod kitchen

Whether you’re planning a brand-new kitchen or want to refresh your existing Metod kitchen, you can combine IKEA cabinets with our made-to-measure kitchen doors and cover panels. Feel free to send us your IKEA Home Planner file, or share measurements and a few photos of your kitchen. We’ll then propose the right fronts, cover panels and fillers for your layout. Submit your details for a price estimate.

Shaker kitchens

Want to create the feel of a classic shaker kitchen? In addition to made-to-measure doors, we can also, if you wish, produce spacer laths that frame the cabinets and give that characteristic shaker profile. With custom fillers and cover panels, you also get a kitchen that looks fully built-in, tailored to your home.

Frequently asked questions

Are your doors only compatible with IKEA Metod, Faktum and Pax?
No. We manufacture made-to-measure kitchen doors and wardrobe doors for IKEA Metod, Faktum and Pax – but also for other kitchen and wardrobe systems (e.g. Marbodal, Ballingslöv) as well as completely according to custom measurements.

When you use IKEA cabinets, the doors are prepared for IKEA’s hinges and drawer systems. For other brands, we drill according to your specified measurements/drawings or deliver undrilled for on-site installation.
Can I order doors in custom sizes?
Absolutely. Every door can be manufactured to the millimetre in both height and width. Specify the sizes you need and, if necessary, the hinge side, and we will produce according to your specification.
How do I measure correctly for new doors?
Measure the clear opening dimensions of the cabinet and your existing doors to confirm the correct size. For IKEA systems, you can start from IKEA’s standard sizes or send us your IKEA plan and we will double-check before production. Read our measuring guide.
Do you pre-drill for hinges for IKEA cabinets?
Yes. For Metod, Faktum and Pax we pre-drill according to the correct drilling pattern and distances. For other cabinet systems, you can supply measurements or a drilling diagram when ordering.
What finishes and colours are available?
You can choose from thousands of colours as well as selected wood surfaces such as oak. Painted doors are lacquered for durability, and wood doors are treated to enhance and protect the grain. We can also paint according to a requested NCS code.
Can I order samples before deciding?
Yes. Order colour and wood samples to see surface and sheen in your own light. It’s the best way to feel confident in your choice before placing an order. Order samples here.
How do I know if I have IKEA Metod or IKEA Faktum?
IKEA Faktum was sold roughly between 2000–2013, whereas IKEA Metod has been sold from 2013 onwards. One simple difference is the plinth and total height: Faktum base cabinets are about 70 cm high with a 16 cm plinth, Metod base cabinets are about 80 cm high with an 8 cm plinth. You can also compare the door and drawer front sizes on our pages for Metod and Faktum to verify which system you have.
Are handles and hinges included?
The doors are delivered without handles so you can choose your own style. Hinges are easiest to buy from IKEA. Holes for handles are drilled during installation, as the placement is always individual.
Can I replace only the doors instead of the entire kitchen or wardrobe?
Yes. Replacing only the doors is cost-effective, quicker and more sustainable. Complement with cover panels and plinths for a clean, cohesive and built-in look.
How do I get a price or quote?
See our price examples for typical solutions, or request a personal quote via the quote form. Send your IKEA plan or a simple sketch with measurements, chosen model and finish, and we will get back to you with a price proposal.
